Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Whitepad ("Whitepad", "we", "us"), an AI-powered mock-interview product at whitepad.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Whitepad provides practice interviews with an AI interviewer that talks, listens, watches your whiteboard, and generates a scorecard or learning recap. The service is provided for personal, educational use.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Whitepad. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Whitepad offers a free tier and paid plans (subscriptions and one-time credit top-ups), processed by Stripe.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Sessions consume your plan's allotment first, then any credits. Credits do not expire while your account is active.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital services; by starting a session you may be asked to acknowledge that provision begins immediately.
- Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes affecting active subscriptions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its outputs, except as permitted by law;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others' rights;
- share your account with others in a way that circumvents plan limits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you provide (your speech, transcripts, and whiteboard). You grant us a limited license to process that content — including sharing it with the sub-processors described in our Privacy Policy — solely to provide and improve the service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.
Intellectual property
The Whitepad platform, software, branding, and content (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; no other rights are granted.
AI-generated output
Scorecards, recaps, and interviewer responses are generated by AI and provided for practice and educational purposes only. They may contain errors, are not professional, career, or hiring advice, and are not a guarantee of any interview outcome. Use your own judgment.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your statutory consumer rights).
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Certain provisions (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
